Father’s Day 2024 – Breakfast at First Watch

Mother’s Day 2024 – Breakfast at iHop !!

We transited the Agua Clara (new) locks of the Panama Canal on Mar 4, 2024.

This is the container ship that followed us through.

Back in June 2022 we headed out for a walk in the neighborhood.  Got 2 houses down and 18-pound pup (left) started following us.  He would not leave us no matter how far we went.  We were worried he’d be injured or worse if he followed us onto the busy street so we turned around and headed back home.  Yep, he was right on our heels.

We searched high and low and inquired of neighbors whose dog this might be but no one had a clue.  Even put him in the lost dogs section of a local website.  No chip, no collar, no nothing that would identify him or where he was from.

We all became attached and decided he needed a good home.  We called him “Lucky”.  To this day we are not sure whether that name fits him or us better.

Now in Fall 2023 he wants to be a lap dog but at 60 pounds, I’m not sure that’s going to work.

We went to California in early January.  Atmospheric River, Bomb Cyclone and all.  We were lucky to only have torrential downpours on our first evening.  Unfortunately, that evening was spent on the road between San Francisco Int’l Airport and Cool, CA.

A nicely appointed guest room at Alcatraz
This is the real reason we went. Nicholas and Vicki Weaver were married at the courthouse in SF. It really was a beautiful place.
There was a very nice 4 piece ensemble
This does not look like what you'd expect of the inside of the courthouse. But it is the courthouse in San Francisco. Certainly not what I expected.

Sad news…..

Mary’s dad left our world on June 12, 2020.  He was a great man and we loved him dearly.  Here’s a link to the obituary..

Here we're visiting the "Big Island" in May 2016. We're standing on volcanic lava that long ago flowed to the sea.
